Who Are the Friends?

The Harwinton Library Friends was incorporated in 1981. It is a service organization of local area volunteers whose purpose is to increase awareness of Library offerings, promote use of the Library, and fundraise for Library needs. The Friends sponsor many important programs and services that are beyond the Library’s operating budget.

What Do the Friends Do?
○ ──────
The Friends normally hold two major fundraisers each year: the Annual Plant, Book & Bake Sale, held the 3rd weekend in May, and the Holiday Open House and Craft Sale, held the 1st Saturday in December through December 23rd. The Friends also hold monthly Book Sales during the Summer and Fall and maintain an ongoing Book Cart Sale inside the library.
Do you have books to donate to the Library Friends? Please see our Guidelines for Donating.
