Homeschool storytimes

For ages 6-10.
One of our local homeschooling mom’s, Andrea Fitzpatrick, is providing a homeschooler storytime for homeschoolers in the area! All are welcome, of course, whether they are homeschooled or not! Learn about all sorts of interesting topics and color while you listen!
Parents must attend with their kids.
No need to register.

Nov. 20th – 27th – Giving Thanks Scavenger Hunt
Come any time during the week leading up to Thanksgiving and enjoy this great scavenger hunt in the kids section of the library! There will be a prize for all winners!
Nov. 20th @ 6pm – Dino Bingo Night
Did you know November is national dinosaur month?
Come play dino bingo, do a real dino egg excavation, and a craft!
Register each child separately. Ages 4-10.
Dec. 7th @ 4-7pm – Hometown Holiday
Visit us during the event for our craft sale, teacup auction, and crafts for kids!
Dec. 14th @ 10am – Mrs. Claus Storytime
Come to story time with Mrs. Claus! She will read ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas, then we will break to do a few Christmas crafts! While we do the crafts, families one by one will be invited up to take a picture with Mrs. Claus and all children will receive a special gift!
For all children! Please register each child separately.
Dec. 18th @ 5-8pm – Ornament Stuffing Family Craft
Drop in any time between 5pm and 8pm to fill some ornaments in this relaxed Christmassy environment!
Take home your creations and hang them on your tree!
For the whole family, especially young ones!
Jan. 18th @ 10am-2pm – Winter Craft Day
Drop-in between 10am and 2pm on Saturday to do some winter crafts!

Jan. 22nd @ 6pm – Grannie Annie Pajama Storytime
Our beloved Grannie Annie is returning to the library for a pajama storytime! Dress in your pajamas and choose a cuddle buddy from her multitude of stuffed animal friends while you listen to chilly winter stories. Juice boxes, popcorn, and balloons will be provided for all kids (and grownups).

Harwinton Public Library offers monthly programs for teens, as well as young adult books, audiobooks, games, and graphic novels.
Nov. 13th @ 6pm – Holiday Crafting Session
Hey Teens! For the month of November, we are going to be making some crafts to take home and for the libraries’ holiday sale!
We will be making no bake dog treats and reindeer food to sprinkle on your lawn Christmas eve to entice the reindeer to visit your house! This will help make money for all of our amazing programs and will be super fun!!!!
So, come hang out and sprinkle all the sprinkles for this fun craft session!
